During my recent stay at a hotel in the beautiful Sauerland region, I experienced a blend of traditional charm and modern conveniences. The clean and spacious room provided a comfortable retreat after a long day exploring the nearby hiking trails. I appreciated the hotel's commitment to accommodating pets, although I did note the additional fee of around 20 EUR. One highlight was the breakfast service. The staff were helpful and attentive, ensuring that my family started our day with a satisfying meal. I must mention that reaching the hotel posed some challenges due to the limited public transport options in the area, especially with children in tow. Collecting our keys at a separate location added complexity to the experience, making check-in feel more cumbersome than necessary. The spiral staircase with its stunning 360° panoramic views was an unexpected delight, showcasing the region's natural beauty. While the hotel offers several commendable features, the logistics for travelers relying on public transport could benefit from improvement.
